Citrus Gin Fizz

Citrus Gin Fizz sounds so delicious but did you ever try anything else besides the classic Gin Fizz? The perfect Gin Fizz is simply Gin, lemon juice, sugar and soda. Well, the fizz is more than mixing a gin and pop in the glass. The Fizz is a delightful, refreshing drink, and you can make it so many variations.

Citrus Gin Fizz

You can make so many different Gin Fizz Recipe. The list is endless.

Since the cocktail is more or less associated with the Summer season, I have created a citrus-based fizz. The idea is to have a wonderfully fresh, fruity and easy to make Gin Fizz with citrus character perfect for warm days. Of course, the first ingredients and most important is the Gin you decide to use. For this recipe, I use the Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla. A Gin made with Seville oranges and orange blossom, giving it delicious flavours of the Mediterranean.

Now you have your base spirit already brings some citrus to the drink but let’s not stop here. To enhance the citrus flavour, I use the unique Grand Marnier Liqueur. For many other bartenders and me, Grand Marnier is probably the best known French Liqueur all around the world. Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is a delicate blend of fine Cognacs, and distilled essence of wild tropical oranges. Also, I have a sweet spot for the fantastic Crème de Pamplemousse Rose (Pink Grapefruit) Liqueur by Giffard. The Pink Grapefruit Liqueur Liqueur (crème de fruits) is made from an infusion of pink grapefruit zest.

Finally, to make the ultimate Citrus Gin Fizz, I did replace the classic soda water with Polmelo and Pink Pepper Tonic produced by London Essense Company. The tonic is a precise balance of citrusy pomelo notes, the essence of warm pink peppercorn with a touch of quinine.

I hope this cocktail inspire you to do some shopping and get ready for early spring warm-up with a Citrus Gin Fizz. Or perhaps will give you an idea to create something new matching your test. Whatever you decide, make sure you enjoy and drink responsibly. Don’t forget to check our cocktail page regularly for new recipes added weekly.
