Turkish Delight

Turkish Delight cocktail has been going in my head for a long time, and every time I want to make it, rather I don’t have one of the juices or the right garnish. This time I nail it. Creating cocktails every day is lovely, but when you mix something like this cocktail, the joy is out of this world. I am originally from Bulgaria, a small beautiful country in Eastern Europe with very reach history. Our history is full of surprising facts, and we are a nation of many influences. We a close to Turkey and one of the many things we have from Turkey is the Turkish delight.

The love for Turkish Delight

I remember my childhood eating this sweet and yummy delight. Especially my favourite with whole nuts. Honestly, the sweetness coming from this dessert or snack (if I can call it a this) is so lovely and addictive. Is one of those tastes when you know you should stop and not overeat, but it is not possible and keep going. The classic Turkish delight is plain, simple, sweet, and cover in powdered sugar. If you ever been to Turkey or had a chance to try it, you know what I mean. Now imagine if you can drink this delight.

Well, fear not as I am giving you the solution for this Turkish Delight Cocktail. I have created the cocktail using the fantastic Monin Lavender Syrup, Lychee Juice and Pineapple Juice. All of these three ingredients work fantastically well with Gin and Mezcal. In my case, I had to use the Fifty Pounds Gin because of it’s lovely taste, aromas and creamy texture. Also, to bring a bit more balanced sweet and savoury flavours, I used the Mezcal Eterno Anejo. Made in the San Dionisio Ocotepec region of Oaxaca, this is a deliciously smoky mezcal.



  • Shake with plenty of ice.
  • Strain into Coupe Glass.
  • Garnish with flower or blossom.


  • 35ml Fifty Pounds Gin
  • 20ml Mezcal Eterno No1
  • 20ml Monin Lavender Syrup
  • 20ml Lychee Juice
  • 35ml Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Egg White
