Doctor Funk Cocktail

Doctor Funk is an easy Rum cocktail dating back to the 1950s and is named after Doctor Bernard Funk. At the base of the cocktail, you have Jamaican Rum mixed with a touch of anise.
The original recipe calls for absinthe, but I decided to substitute for a Pernod in my version. You still have this anise note, and if you don't hold a bottle of Absinthe, the Pernod or any anise liqueur will be a perfect replacement. The original recipes call for soda water, but I use Cream Soda for a touch of sweetness.
