Initially crafted for a Giffard competition in 2019, this cocktail earned a spot in the UK final heads. Although the origin of the name "Julie Island" remains a mystery, it perfectly encapsulates the essence of relaxation and escape.
JULIE ISLAND
30ml / 1oz Cargo Cult Banana Spiced Rum
30ml / 1oz Apricot Brandy Liqueur
90ml / 3oz Pineapple Juice - cold-pressed juice recommended
15ml / .5oz Vanilla Syrup
15ml / .5oz Lime Juice
2 cubes of Fresh Papaya - or use Tropical Syrup (check Mixology Hacks for recipe)
4 cubes of Fresh Mango
2 dashes of Peach Bitters (optional)
1 dash of Pineapple Star Anise Bitters
METHOD:
Add all of the ingredients into a blender.
Add a scoop of crushed ice.
Blend to incorporate.
Garnish with a Mango wedge.
