Julie Island

Indulge in the exotic flavours of rum, mango, papaya, and more flavours with the Julie Island Cocktail! This easy-to-make yet delicious cocktail recipe brings the taste of a tropical paradise right to your glass.

Initially crafted for a Giffard competition in 2019, this cocktail earned a spot in the UK final heads. Although the origin of the name "Julie Island" remains a mystery, it perfectly encapsulates the essence of relaxation and escape.


JULIE ISLAND

  • 30ml / 1oz Cargo Cult Banana Spiced Rum

  • 30ml / 1oz Apricot Brandy Liqueur

  • 90ml / 3oz Pineapple Juice - cold-pressed juice recommended

  • 15ml / .5oz Vanilla Syrup

  • 15ml / .5oz Lime Juice

  • 2 cubes of Fresh Papaya - or use Tropical Syrup (check Mixology Hacks for recipe)

  • 4 cubes of Fresh Mango

  • 2 dashes of Peach Bitters (optional)

  • 1 dash of Pineapple Star Anise Bitters

METHOD:

  1. Add all of the ingredients into a blender.

  2. Add a scoop of crushed ice.

  3. Blend to incorporate.

  4. Garnish with a Mango wedge.
