Gin Collins Cocktails
Hey there, cocktail lovers! Welcome back to Just Shake or Stir. Today, we will explore two refreshing and delicious cocktails: the classic Tom Collins and a delightful twist, the Pear Elderflower Collins.
First, let's start with Tom Collins. This timeless cocktail has been a favourite for generations and is incredibly easy to make.
TOM COLLINS
60ml / 2oz Dry London Gin
30ml / 1oz Lemon Juice
15ml / .5oz Sugar Syrup
Soda Water to top up
Lemon wheel and cherry for garnish
METHOD:
Combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in a shaker with ice.
Shake well and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
Top with club soda and garnish with a lemon wheel and cherry.
Now, let's move on to our Pear Elderflower Collins. This delightful variation adds a touch of fruity sweetness and floral notes to the classic recipe.
PEAR ELDERFLOWER COLLINS
1/2 Poached Pear with Lavender***
15ml / .5oz Elderflower Liqueur
5ml / Bar Spoon Pear Liqueur (optional)
60ml / 2oz London Dry Gin
5ml / .5oz Sugar Syrup (or honey syrup)
30ml / 1oz Lemon Juice
30ml / 1oz Pear & Lavender Sweet Water***
Soda Water to top up
METHOD:
Combine the gin, pear & lavender sweet water, pear liqueur, elderflower liqueur, sugar syrup and lemon juice in a shaker with ice.
Shake well and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
Top with club soda and garnish with a thin pear slice.
